who we are

Small But Mighty

our humble home

We’re a small but mighty chilli farm tucked away in the South Wales Valleys, working in the shadow of the Garth Mountain. Locals know it well - it’s a Cardiff landmark, and climbing it is a rite of passage in these parts. In Welsh, “Garth” simply means hill, so it felt fitting to name ourselves after the glorious landscape that surrounds us.

how we started

Chilli Fanatics

spice-addicts to experts

We've always been massive chilli fanatics, growing them successfully in the UK climate for many years, but we started our farm in earnest last winter, planting 35 true varieties which we soon grew into massive mother plants, some almost 2 metres tall! With incredibly abundant harvests and plenty of excess plants, we've put our experience from running an online houseplant business since 2019 into carefully packaging and shipping our products across the country.

what we do

The Hard Graft

a farmer's life

Every seed, every plant, every pod is grown by hand right here. We segregate flowers, harvest perfectly ripe fruits, extract and inspect their seeds, dry them carefully, and select only the very best specimens. All of our live plants have been raised and nurtured from seed in a closely monitored environment. No shortcuts, no mass‑production, no air miles, no nonsense!

how we do it

No Shortcuts

kind to our customers, kind to the planet

All of our packaging is selected and designed in‑house and 100% biodegradable, and all of our photos show only our own stock, so you can see exactly what you should expect to grow prior to purchase. We work flat-out all season so that when you order our products, you know you're getting the real deal, and we don't use any harmful pesticides or chemicals on our farm, relying instead on natural biological controls and predators to maintain quality and have the best possible impact on the local environment.
